Get Legal Help
A4A provides free legal aid, advice and representation for eligible beneficiaries. You do not need to know the legal name of your problem before contacting us.
If you need immediate assistance, call +232 79 011 356 or +232 76 673 439.
Before You Start
Describe what happened in your own words. A4A can help identify the most suitable legal pathway.
A4A will first consider the issue, eligibility, available resources and whether another service may be more appropriate.
Do not send confidential evidence or highly sensitive case documents through the first-stage website form.
Who We Help
A4A's services are intended for people who cannot afford a private lawyer, especially women and children, persons with disabilities, low-income individuals, victims of rights abuses and people in rural or deprived communities. Eligibility may also depend on the nature of the legal issue, available resources, conflicts of interest, geography and applicable policy.
You do not need to decide whether you qualify before contacting A4A. An initial assessment is used to understand your circumstances and determine whether A4A can assist or signpost you elsewhere.
Choose a Pathway
Select the option closest to your problem. Your choice will carry into the request form automatically.
Arrest, detention, bail, criminal proceedings, court representation and related criminal-justice issues.
Family, land, property, contract, consumer and other civil disputes.
Unfair dismissal, wages, workplace discrimination, harassment and employment rights.
Mediation, negotiation, conciliation, arbitration support and community-based resolution.
Protection concerns, abuse-related matters and wider access-to-justice support involving vulnerable persons.
A4A can review a short summary and help identify the most suitable service or referral.
How Assistance Works
Submitting a request does not mean A4A has accepted the matter. The first step is understanding the problem and deciding the appropriate next action.
Call during office hours, send a WhatsApp message, visit the office or submit the short request form.
A4A will contact you through your selected safe method to understand your situation, eligibility and the most suitable legal pathway.
A4A will explain whether it can assist and what legal action, service or referral may be appropriate.
